I was born and raised on the eastside of Cincinnati in the Oakley area. My wife Barbara grew up on the westside of Cincinnati in the Price Hill area. We were married in 1994. We bought our first home and found our first church home in Groesbeck/North College Hill where we were blessed for 10 years. We then moved to Westwood for 10 years where we became heavily invested in multifamily housing which allowed for great opportunities for ministry. We hosted a small group gathering for many years in our home and onsite at one of our apartment communities. We later moved to Cleves where we lived for 9 years and have now relocated to Lawrenceburg Indiana where we have been blessed with a platform giving us the opportunity to have impact in our community and build new relationships.
We have 3 children, a daughter (Heather) who lives in Los Angeles, a son (Steven Blake) and a son (Jason) who we lost in a car accident in 2006. We have a nonprofit in his name (the Jason Beck Memorial Fund) which supports organ donation and promotes safe driving.
I did not grow up in the church and lost my father early in life. I went through many hardships and challenges as a young adult. By the Grace of God I was saved and brought into a relationship with Jesus in 1990. The writings of the apostle Paul and the prayers of a loving Mother had a major influence on that.
I am forever grateful for the new life God has granted me and I am honored and committed to serve Him and His Church.
